Interesting to note that the key feature of this poll relative to the previous YouGov one is the tanking of the Ukip vote as folk realise Farage isn't Ukip any more. Ukip cld well drop further yet.

Last one. 49% of people who voted Conservative in 2017 say they'll vote @brexitparty_uk in the Euro elections. 49%. And that's just upon launch.

There's an argument to be made specifically opposite to @DanielJHannan's: that it's crucial the Tories are destroyed utterly, early, so they're forced to accept their party cannot win another General Election & their MPs & voters move on to some other party that *can* stop Corbyn
@DanielJHannan MPs had *no right* to decide that just cos May agreed a terrible deal Brexit'd be cancelled. But they did. So someone's gotta pay. Ultimately the buck stops with the Conservative Party cos it was in charge. So the Conservative Party must be destroyed.
@DanielJHannan And it's no good saying "But Tory MPs didn't want to cancel Brexit". 200 Tory MPs voted to keep May as PM last December specifically because they believed she wld cancel leaving rather than accept no deal. They cannot pretend this was not their fault & deliberate intention.

It's interesting that I write abt how the constitutional monarchy shld hv intervened, either way, on Cooper-Letwin, & a zillion people tweet at me abt Brexit. This isn't abt Brexit, per se. It's abt our rotting constitution. Remainers shld care abt that as well as Leavers.

Try this. Next time a Remainer says "Why did you hv to try to disturb everything? Why cldn't we just leave things as they were?" ask: "Explain to us about this 'things staying as they were'. How was that supposed to work once deeper €zone integration progressed as planned?"+
The €zone bloc already has a qualified majority. Even now, if it all voted together (as it almost always will in the future when more integrated) it cld set all the EU's rules, overruling the UK every single time, on everything. That's the future. There's no "carry on as now".
So ask them: Explain how we "carry on as now" when now we can get our policies thro & block those we don't like but in the future the €zone will set all the rules & our votes will be totally irrelevant? Our only future inside the EU is one in which we are dominated by the €zone

I do wonder if Brexit is an issue that is dividing Conservative Party supporters as much as it is Labour Party ones. I suspect it is not. I suspect Conservative Party voters will still support the party at the next GE regardless b/c they vote 'against', not vote 'for'. Thread 👇

Cons: we will protect your revenue sources from them
Lab: renationalise rail, mail, utilities
Cons: we will protect your investments/dividends from them
Lab: right to safe & habitable housing
Cons: we will protect your rents from them
So each election the Tories run on 'Stay the course', 'Make no dramatic changes', 'Things are generally okay' & 'Labour will destroy the economy and the nation'. Their lack of a manifesto in 2017 is illustrative. They didn't offer a policy vision b/c they don't believe in govt.

Yes, our government has been taken over by Russia using their agent trump, getting financial backing from far right libertarian Billionaires, propaganda by Fox, votes from radical religious and hate groups, enabled by a complicit corrupt Congress owned by those same billionaires!
Now it seems due to a major flaw in our Constitution we have only one option; vote! #BlueWave2018 Yes there is #Mueller who is making progress but it’s obviously going to take awhile. Our founders didn’t allow for politicians becoming so corrupt they would cede power to an enemy!

2. The Constitutional referendum turnout at 7 pm had a similar trend. Then (in 2016) the final turnout was 68,48%. If it stays so also today, it would be the lowest turnout in Italy republican history
