Dear Sega, I respect you because of the work that you do. I also have tremendous respect for Dr Oby. In fact, no one amongst Nigeria's elite has inspired me more profoundly than Oby. There is no such thing as "phantom" numbers of the #Chibokgirls.

The #ChibokGirls were held and some are still being held by one of the most vicious and secretive organizations in the world. What I did in April 2018 was to use my deep knowledge of the conflict to challenge the FG and BH to provide full disclosure on the status of the girls.

What happened immediately after I threw that challenge was, my Twitter account was suspended temporarily and death threats followed. Only my family and I bore the brunt of that experience, and several other ill treatment for always trying to get the story out.

The goal of my revelation, then, was to force out counter information that I was either wrong or I was right. I believe and I am sure, people like Dr Oby believe that the parents of these girls deserve to know whether their daughters are dead or still alive.

Many well meaning Nigerians esp the parents of the missing girls do not have info abt the actual status of the #ChibokGirls. Those of us with the professional capacity to investigate are threatened. The safest path is to keep the issue alive, that is what Dr Oby has been doing.

Dr Oby deserves commendation for her public service that predates the #BBOG. You, on the other hand, have saved lives with the #EndSARS campaign. As leaders, we must be very mindful of our utterances, the younger generation are watching and learning from us, each day.

You, and all of us here must use the social media only as a weapon to promote understanding, peace and development so that the barriers that fuel mistrusts and violence in our society may be mitigated or altogether eliminated.
