Little surprised the account of comms between Guccifer & Stone seems to accept that their interaction ended when their obviously insecure Twitter DMs did.
Stone was clearly extremely interested in, and actively seeking out, the very type of information Guccifer was offering. Stone clearly made it regular practice to use secure comms channels for sensitive conversations.
We know he wiped a lot of data from the period that’s the target of inquiry. “The conversation moved off Twitter” still seems a lot more likely than “Stone wasn’t even interested enough in the offer to bother responding.”
