@phalanxhoplite You recall that some officers survived the Sept 2006 crash of a Dornier Do-228 which was on its way to the Obudu Mountain Resort but which cost Bamalli his life? One of the survivors is Maj Gen Nuhu Angbazo, the incumbent GOC 3 Armoured Division. Surprised?
@phalanxhoplite Another survivor of that crash is Brigadier General OC Ajunwa, Defence Adviser at the Nigerian High Commission in Brazil
@phalanxhoplite They hit the ground with that plane but very luckily survived while a corps commander and two GOCs, among others, died in that crash. Azazi, a RC 12 officer was COAS while one of the GOCs was Maj Gen Joseph Olayinka Adesunloye, a RC 13 officer who hailed from Lampese, Edo State
