1. If you want to know how “let’s ignore Trump’s shenanigans and focus on the issues people care about” works against Trump, ask every Republican who ran against him in 2016. That’s exactly what they did and they all lost.
2. All the political consultants and pollsters who are saying impeachment would help Trump politically also said there was no way Trump could win because he polls badly and all his positions poll badly. But we are still listening to them

Personally bummed to watch Trump’s opponents continue to make the same mistakes. But who knows, things could change.
Playing it safe does not work against Trump. I mean, it could work and Hillary almost won. But it’s not an advisable strategy
