After the USSR fell its strategists decided its best offense against the West consisted of disinformation. That disinformation effort is now manifest not just in the US but in Europe, perhaps especially in the EU.

There are indications that a new generation of American counter-tactics have emerged. It is marked by the use of sanctions, proxy warfare and undermining or attracting Putin's most vulnerable clients in North Korea, Syria, Venezuela and Cuba.
The obvious weakness of Dugin's strategy is its complete reliance on external offensive operations. There is no internal reform program aimed at improving Russia's efficiency and economic dynamism.

Or maybe it's Facebook that has to be protected from them lest they be liable for hate speech? Like Thomas Sowell says we live in an age where someone else is always responsible for what you do.

-phobia added to a prefix doesn't refer to well-grounded and sensible concerns or fears.
You know, like the fear that might fester in your mind if you see a person in an airline pilot's uniform throwing back three or four shots before walking into the airport?
A sensible passenger hopes for a sober pilot, and evidence that the pilot is on a bender makes the rational person rightly fearful for their safety.

I was walking through Sephora and brain suddenly shouted, "QUINN, YOU NEED AN EYELASH-CURLER!"

For those of you who live without such objects, eyelash curlers press your eyelashes back and up to give one of the air of a younger person or a cheaply-made doll.
I commended myself on my brilliance for remembering this while I was in a store which sells eyelash-curlers, and again asked my brain not to shout, please. I considered the curler options: are my eyes almond-shaped? Deeply set? Rounded? Where was the curler for "Flinching"?

In 2016 I voted remain and was disappointed that the remain vote lost. I felt then as I do now that it was a vote against UK politicians, by people who felt disenfranchised, The referendum gave them an opportunity to kick ass.
Throughout the last 2 years we have heard people say. I have changed my mind. I want a #PeoplesVote because I did not understand what i was voting for! Well in part I agree.,I voted remain because being in the EU was all that I had known I could not see any problems.
Today I am reconsidering my position and indeed if another vote took place I would be tempted to vote leave. So why the sudden change of heart? Well I have started to watch and read the thoughts of people who have been far better informed on the European Union than I am.
