In 2016 I voted remain and was disappointed that the remain vote lost. I felt then as I do now that it was a vote against UK politicians, by people who felt disenfranchised, The referendum gave them an opportunity to kick ass.

Throughout the last 2 years we have heard people say. I have changed my mind. I want a #PeoplesVote because I did not understand what i was voting for! Well in part I agree.,I voted remain because being in the EU was all that I had known I could not see any problems.

Today I am reconsidering my position and indeed if another vote took place I would be tempted to vote leave. So why the sudden change of heart? Well I have started to watch and read the thoughts of people who have been far better informed on the European Union than I am.

Since the #Tories came to power we have lost over 20,000 police officers in England and Wales. The UK army has been reduced to the size of a crowd that can fit into Wembley Stadium. During the same period we have seen increasing numbers of armed police.

At the same time we have witnessed more incidents were it has been deemed necessary to have military personnel on UK streets!. Are we starting to see an increased militarisation of policing and where will that take us?

#Germany and #France are pushing for a European army and the question needs to be asked if this was the reason that UK army numbers have been allowed to diminish? If the UK military was taken into a European army who would have sovereignty over it?

Could the UK be taken into a war that it did not want? You think this is all ridiculous? On the 22/01/2019 #Merkel and #Marcon will sign the Aachen Treaty. The Times reported that the agreement heralded a new era of integration between #Paris and #Berlin.

#Germany and #France the two principle nations in mainland #Europe would share defence and foreign policies.

#Reuters reported that "Both states will deepen their cooperation in foreign affairs, defence, external and internal security and development and at the same time work on strengthening the ability of Europe to act independently,"

Europe to act independently, for what purpose? The The German Federal Government states that Working together will include: The development of joint strategic approaches, including the design of the European Defence Union.

The Treaty of Aachen will accelerate the Planning of the EU Military Union. but it also goes further! It also reveals the end of national borders as functionally significant administrative boundaries.

They argue it is to improve the everyday life of citizens in border regions ensuring concrete and practical solutions are to be made available. to establish cross-border projects such as nurseries, education facilities, emergency and health services, and industrial estates.

At the risk of sounding flippant was this not what #Hitler has planned for #Europe Perhaps we all need to look more closely at what the future might have in store! @ThreadReaderApp Unroll

@FightingGran the reason I feel it should be of concern to all Europeans not just the #UK is that if a decision was made to attack another country who would the citizens of individual states / countries hold accountable?

Is this the real reason they want invisible or border less states with integrated education.? Control of how people think and respond to state interventions. Is the the Aachen Treaty an attempt to control the will of the people? goo.gl/AcXdVr
