At the WHCD, Olivier Knox related an anecdote about his crying 11 year old son being afraid that Trump would put his daddy in jail. This allegedly occurred just days after Trump called the media the "Enemy of the American people."

A quick google search shows that Trump tweeted something in that regard on Feb 17th. 2017. Here's the exact tweet. Notice he calls out not the media, but the "FAKE NEWS media" and even lists the specific media to which he's referring

I can see why Knox might have been confused. Take a look at what CNN was telling people, that the "Media is the enemy of the American People." Not the "FAKE NEWS media," but the media. They also left out the specific media to which Trump was referring.

So I can see why young Master Knox was so upset. Olivier either allowed his son to be exposed to FAKE NEWS or he himself created an in-house media bubble. Which is odd, bc Olivier Knox does not work for and appears to have never worked for any of the media listed by Trump.

Here's the video of Knox from from the WHCD where he repeats the incorrect quote from Trump. "...February 2017 is when the President of the United States called us the enemies of the people." Ironically he goes on to talk about the "power of words."

To Mr. Knox and all in the media, I want to remind you all, without an HONEST media, our system of government simply does not and cannot work. You all have great power. And with great power comes with great responsibility.

And while you may object to the President's opinion, its clear that a dishonest media is a danger to our Constitutional form of representative democracy which we've enjoyed for 200+ years.

To be clear, nobody on either side of the aisle is gratified that your 11 year old son was upset on the way to soccer. But I do question why he thought what he thought when Trump's tweet was neither what was being reported nor what you said at the WHCD.

Mr. Knox, you do know that you misquoted Trump, right? After all, you must understand the "power of words."
