Something I don’t understand: If Mike Pence’s daughter was forced from birth to wear a full body cover or a hijab due to religious beliefs, the left would go nuts attacking him for oppressing her. Islam does this to nearly all young Muslim girls and the left celebrates it. Why?
I can’t imagine telling my daughters they have to cover their head, face or arms because they don’t want to distract or become a target for men who can’t control themselves from acting like monsters.
In the majority of Niqab, Burka & Hijab cases you have to realize that many (not all) are brainwashed as kids into this oppressive practice. For the left to pretend it’s empowering betrays what empowerment is. It was never a choice for those little girls.
Choice is empowerment.

It’s just bizarre how the left has taken to loving Islam given Islamic countries tend to oppress women from birth, cut their genitals, control their movement, strictly limit women’s rights and STILL engage in slavery TODAY. Why would they frame oppressive customs as empowerment?
