(Thread) Nearly six weeks ago, Special Counsel Robert Mueller concluded his investigation into President Trump’s conduct. (1/x)
Since then, Attorney General William Barr has refused to release the full report to Congress, even after the issuance of a lawful subpoena. (2/x)
He has refused to provide any of the underlying evidence. (3/x)
He has refused to do just about anything else, in fact, other than to provide political cover for the President. (4/x)
His refusal now to testify before the House Judiciary Committee tomorrow is short-sighted and disgraceful. (5/x)
We will compel his testimony by issuing a new subpoena for his appearance. (6/x)
We will get the answers that Attorney General Barr is trying to keep from the American people. (7/x)
And yes, it’s time to hold Mr. Barr in contempt for his failure to comply with the subpoena requiring him to produce the unredacted Mueller report to Congress. (8/8)
