be aware while reading this that @adamgoldmanNYT has been deeply involved in the slander and upheaval of innocent people's lives (@RealSLokhova) around the false Russian conspiracy narrative.

remember: this story mentions nothing about Halper's prior 2014 activities and his further leaking of contrived falsehoods about 2014 in 2017; falsehoods the Defense Intelligence Agency knew were false.
this question continues to pertinent as well. Halper was being paid by the DOD, was he also being paid by the the FBI?

@RealSLokhova reminds us all of the veracity of NYT reporting and the purposeful omission of information that contradicts their pre-fed narrative - couple that with Comey's disclosure of how officials leaking lies to the press isn't a crime (according to Comey)..
... imo everything about today's NYT story needs to be re-examined. The spin here could be massive.
