Have been yelled at for retweeting too many news bites about abortion. As someone with a working uterus, how do you think I feel?

We've reached the point where I cannot understand how ANYONE can deny that this is about controlling people with uteruses. Given how often the folks writing these bills are also writing anti-trans laws, it's about controlling women, for them.

I try to be generous, I do, but when these people say everyone with a uterus is a woman, and that if I get raped and choose not to irrevocably change my body and brain, I'm a murderer, I BELIEVE THEY THINK THAT.

People DIE in childbirth. Even if they don't, their bodies and brain chemistry change forever.

I was twelve when I broke my spine. It's mostly healed now, but the doctors who've seen me since have been very clear: if I had a child, I would never walk again.

I have always been okay with that, but I already knew I didn't want children.

So when these sick control freaks legislate me into childbirth, will they pay to remodel my house to be wheelchair accessible?

And if I can be forced to give my body as a resource to keep a fetus alive, can I demand people give me their kidneys? Since bodily autonomy is apparently no longer a concern?

This is why trans rights are women's rights. If people with uteruses aren't people anymore, you can't have men with uteruses. Because men still get to be people.
