Strictly personal view: no problem with owner investment that underpins / kick-starts long-term plan of sustainable development. But buying 'success' that will end when 'fake' long-term income is involved = bad for everyone. Clubs die like that, eg Gretna.
Wembley's capacity is 90,000. It was less than 9% full today for Salford City's win. This isn't a sustainable community club at pro level. It's a vanity project. Here are the first two goals.

Every Premier League club is *supposed* to be shown live on UK TV at least 10 times each season. Every season, several aren't. This is one of the (more minor) reasons underpinning growing inequity of resources and a chasm in competitiveness, top to bottom
Last season, for example, "Big 6' (also the top 6) not only earned combined PL cash of £202,783,140 on 'merit' (placing) v £40,556,628 for the bottom 6, but they pocketed £187,993,813 in TV fees (161 games) v £75,005,875 for 6 clubs showed least (56 games)
From nxt season, when overseas TV£ also stops being shared equally & a chunk is divided on placing, the 'Big' clubs will get disproportionately rewarded even more. When one of your strengths as a league for 27 yrs is relative equality of TV cash, that's poor.

The money PSG got from Qatar's Tourism Authority in sponsorship - that helped them buy their success: €215m a year.
The true market value of that deal according to the leaked documents: €2.78m a year.

Leaked papers also show UEFA inspectors found Man City "had hidden 35 million euros in costs from UEFA"; and some Abu Dhabi commercial deals were 80% inflated. PSG and City both threatened UEFA legal action. Gianni Infantino (then at UEFA) did deal to go soft
It's obviously not new that PSG and City broke FFP rules, blatantly, tried to cover that up, got punished, and didn't appeal cos they were guilty. But the new leaks officially confirm the nuts and bolts, and add detail. Beautiful game.

My Conservative Principles require me to....win. Because the country is at stake.

Too late I realized the agenda of Conservative Inc. led by the likes of Bill Kristol was to 'lose with honor' & hand the country to Hillary Clinton for 8 years.

I was told after Trump won the nomination the only reasonable, logical...CONSERVATIVE...thing to do was to man up and hand Hillary Clinton the Presidency.

To save the country & the world from the huge epic flaming disaster on stilts that a Donald Trump Presidency would be.
After 18 months of watching Trump actually in the Oval Office functioning as President, it's becoming clear to me and many who were like me back in January 2017 that a whole lot of people were either wrong or lying about how a Trump Presidency would unfold.
