This is a good thread. Trump is setting up the 2020 campaign to be all about China. The New Dem messaging of 'tariffs are hurting our economy' is downright dangerous. Tariffs are the only reasonable posture right now, and Dems better find a way to talk about China.
Such an important point. We are under attack.
The U.S. is under attack by the CCP, it's just not a military attack yet. But it will be unless we set up a different framework. We stop a war with China NOW by pulling away the incentives for a war by reorienting peaceful trading arrangements. That's what tariffs are.
What Dems don't get about Biden is that he is basically saying that he's ok with the U.S. either becoming Chinese colony and/or waging a war in a few years after he noticed he was wrong (yet again). My problem with Biden isn't that he can't win, it's that he can. He's dangerous.
I don't see anyone on the Dem side with the least amount of seriousness around China except @chuckschumer and some Dems who pay attention to trade. Every 2020 candidate is a joke here, except Biden, who is a bad joke.
