I don’t see how it’s possible to avoid the conclusion that Corbyn simply doesn’t (or at best: didn’t) understand antisemitism. I don’t know how you can write a glowing foreword to a book which includes references like this:

How can we end antisemitic thinking in Labour such as Rothschild conspiracy theory or Israel pulling all the strings when Corbyn has endorsed a book containing Rothschild conspiracy theory and mused about Israel being behind a terrorist attack in Egypt? jewishnews.timesofisrael.com/corbyn-suspect…
At a time when a Labour member called on others to march on a synagogue, when occurrences of antisemitism are still all too frequent and, from what I see, denial of it is still strong in the party, I cannot see how Corbyn, given his past, can lead us to a better place.

CONCLUSION:
Worth it
Never mind actually going through with No Deal, it’s unforgivable of the government even to use the idea of it to frighten people. People who are now worried they may die as a result.
I don’t remember the Brexit bus saying “We’ve had 20 years of peace in Northern Ireland. Let’s return to sectarian violence instead”. Did people vote for that?

A neo-Nazi kills Jews at prayer while an enabler President who defended neo-Nazis as “very fine people” blames the Jews for not having AK-47s under their prayer shawls. But this thread isn’t about this grimly inevitable act. It’s about us on the left.
The support and outrage from so many for the Jewish community has been heartening. But it has shocked me (why am I still surprised?) how many on the left responded to Pittsburgh by linking it immediately to Israel/Palestine.
People who condemn All Lives Matter and their attempt to shut down Black Lives Matter but who, when it comes to Jews, tell me: “yeah but All Lives Matter”. Or who, like LibDem peer Jenny Tonge, blame Israel for the attack on American Jews.

In June 2016 I voted leave. This thread is an attempt to explain to Remainers why I did that, to explain to Leavers why the vote is problematic and to explain to both why the current division in the UK has to end and a viable compromise has to be found.
I have been active in Conservative politics since the very early 1990s. This opened up the possibility of working in both Westminster and Brussels for many years, utilising my academic knowledge arising from degree studies in both politics and then law.
This work over 20 years also included working with Cameron’s policy team and shadow cabinet developing aspects of the party’s policies on international development prior to 2010, which included organising “Project Umubano”, Cameron’s 2008 trip to Rwanda (google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theg…)

Taking money in this movement can hurt a person's credibility because people will start to view them as a business. Reaching out can then be viewed as marketing. Shares, likes, hits and views are then looked at as gains.

A person making money off the movement does not turn them into a bad person. Disinformation does. If they are spreading the truth, thats all that matters. There are a lot of Patriots that want to support the work of Patriots they look up too

I kind of feel like Remain did have a message to let behind Leavers that the EU, while highly imperfect, made things better than they would otherwise be and that leaving would make their problems worse rather than better. It was called "Project Fear".
And that's the issue here. All this stuff is basically gum-flapping and middle class masochism going "oh how we have failed those back row kids". Nah not really. It's very difficult to make a positive case for the EU, in the same way and for the same reason...
... that it's difficult to make an inspiring positive case for a sewage treatment works. The case for it is simply that it was a necessary job and things would be worse if it wasn't there. The remain campaign spectacularly failed to deliver that message...
