Ever wonder how come Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu etc have shown SOLID industrial growth over decades & West Bengal, Kerala haven't?

Jyoti Basu, with his BLOOD tainted hands should have been tried like those responsible for Bosnian tragedy.

Another such case involving CTC. On 8 November 1976, the Calcutta Tramways (Acquisition of Undertaking) ordinance was promulgated under which the company (and its assets) was nationalised.

Unnecessarily huge compensation was paid to the original UK owners. Kickbacks, of course!
