So John Walker Lindh gets out of prison tomorrow. All the news crews are there. All the stories are written. He is a big fan of ISIS and given that the other American caught at Qala i Jangi buggered off back home to Saudi Arabia scott free, I am sure he is a little bitter. 
He is caught between two worlds. He is disliked by jihadis for cowering in a basement for a week and disliked by Americans for being a terrorist sympathizer. I would be happy to debate the merits of 90's era jihad vs 2019 jihad since I have been in more islamist wars than he has.
His friends died or went to Gitmo. Later sent home as being non threats to America. He however will have to live in the US for three years and will be constantly harassed for his opinions. I would love to see him defend his views and show people how shallow they are. ©RYP
He joined a thrill kill cult that literally trained recruits to kill humans in Afghanistan before sent off to fight in other wars. That is some fucked up shit. Despite that goal, we treated them and kept them alive. Gitmo was a disaster but what to do with used jihadis? ©RYP
The hallmark of al Qaeda is deceit. False surrenders. IEDs, uprisings, murder of civilians, journalists, Christians. How can they be trusted? They can't.
