Thread: How I would’ve ended Game of Thrones.

There are two ways I would’ve ended GoT. If we had to go the mad queen route I would’ve had Season 7 end with the Battle of Winterfell and had Season 8 be all about the battle for the Iron Throne and Danny’s decent into madness (1/)
But here’s what I would’ve done with Season 8 and the 6 episodes we had.
E1/E2 remain the same for the most part except the plan to have the Night King come after Bran and ambush him.
E3 - I would’ve started it off the same way. An epic clash between the living and the dead (2/)
The dead would overrun the northern armies eventually forcing the retreat of the living from Winterfell to Kings Landing. The final shot of the episode would be of the Northern Army running away from Winterfell with it burning in the background. (3/)
E4 - The living would regroup at the Twins and try to devise a plan how to slow down the dead. They’ve been on the run for several days now. It’s decided to destroy the Twins to hopefully stop the dead at the river, if only to slow them down while it freezes over (4/)
Daenerys uses her two remaining dragons to destroy the twins after the Northern Army is across and they continue their retreat to Kings Landing. In the Capital, Cersei has learned of the North’s defeat and is preparing the city for the battle against the dead (5/)
We see the Lannister Army and the Golden Company preparing wildfire throughout the city.

E5 - In the opening scene we see Jaime leading the rear guard of the Northern Army as the dead approach. He ends up taking a knife to the heart protecting Brianne and dying as the rear (6/)
Guard retreats. Arya ends up taking his face though. The Northern Army (and Dany with her two dragons) reaches to walls of Kingslanding but Cersei refuses to open the gates. Jaime (really Arya) is let in to speak with Cersei who is able to convince her to open the gates (7/)
The final shot of E5 is the army of the dead surrounding Kingslanding.

E6 - We see Jaime (Arya) and Cersei alone in the Red Keep discussing the upcoming battle and what happens after. She kisses Jaime and during this moment Jaime (Arya) stabs her in the heart (8/)
The Battle for Kings Landing begins with the dead eventually overwhelming the remaining Northern Army, Unsullied, Dothraki, Lannister’s and Golden Company. Dany and Jon are doing everything they can to burn the Army of the Dead but with them inside the city their numbers (9/)
Are quickly replenished. Eventually the Night King shows up. The living are forced back into the Red Keep and the dead keep on advancing. The city has fallen with the Red Keep being the last stand for the living. The Mountain finds Cersei’s body in the Red Keep (10/)
This forces The Hound to fight him and they both eventually die similarly to how they died in the actual story but with the Night King’s dragon attacking the Red Keep instead.
The remaining dragons are severely wounded during the battle and Dany & Jon are forced to abandon (11/)
Them. They retreat into the Throne Room where Dany sees her life long dream she walks toward it and touches it. At that point the Night King walks into the Throne Room and throws one of his ice spears at her, killing her. Jon turns around, draws Longclaw and is blasted by (12/)
Wight Viserion’s “fire”. This leaves him unharmed as Jon is the offspring of both Ice & Fire and an epic sword fight begins between the Night King and Jon. Jon eventually defeats the Night King and the dead are defeated, but at a high cost. (13/)
There isn’t much left of any of the Armies, Kings Landing has been decimated. There’s a great task at hand now to rebuild Westeros. Jon realizes he’s not the guy to do that and doesn’t want to so he abdicates his rightful position as King to Sansa. (14/)
Sansa names Tyrion as her hand, Jon as warden of the North, Arya heads west, Bran heads back North to go beyond the wall and take his rightful place as the 3-eyed raven where he gets to live as the other one did. Jon escorts him beyond the wall and is torn about leaving him (15/)
Bran assures him he will be fine and Jon departs. The final scene is Jon heading back to the Wall where he finds dismembered Wildlings arranged how the Wight’s did. Jon looks around in terror and off in the distance we see a figure, the camera gets closer and we see it is (16/)
Not another Night King but instead a Night Queen. She turns around and heads North. (17/17)
