@frosttiie lol i think youre misunderstanding some stuff here. i never made "lofi" music like as a "Style" or choice or something (it's not a genre, it's a recording limitation) - i was broke as FUCK & grew up w/ no money either so never had any way to make music that sounded "good" NOR the
@frosttiie knowledge how - and most importantly (besides $ at least ) - no confidence in myself. like, my writing, my playing (in terms of drums at least lol) but most of all my voice, and singing - i hated how it sounded (i still do mostly but i at least know how to "Sing" now lol and can
@frosttiie do it right , on pitch, etc) - so my choices were either make music that strived to sound "good" despite not having the means or ability - and end up with a sloppy ass mess of a song/album - or lean in to what better fit those things, limitations, abilities, and songwriting too.

Hank, having realized that Connor has never been outside of Detroit in his life, insists that they should take a road trip together. It's summer, Hank has some vacation days saved up for once in his life, work has been slow and full of paperwork.
His enthusiasm is contagious, so they call a pet sitter (Sumo does not enjoy cars, and Josh is always up for it). One brisk, foggy morning, just as dawn breaks, they load their bags into the trunk, Connor fussing over his mental checklist. He's a little stressed.
Hank promises they haven't forgotten anything, and even if they had, there's nothing they can't buy in the next town over. Sumo has been appropriately hugged goodbye, the lights are off, the doors are locked. In the chill air, he drags Connor in for a quick kiss.
