This take would be embarrassing and dishonest as an op-Ed, but far worse when presented as a news article.
I wrote about this tendency last week where the press calls out extremism on the pro-life side, but then attempts to falsely portray extremism on the pro-abortion side as mainstream. Looks like the AP was desperate to make my point.
In this case, many of the red-state actions are in response to extreme bills in blue states. Other blue states have trouble passing similar legislation because even many state Democrats don't support extreme bills that allow abortion until birth.
