Even Mueller doing the basics of "Russia attacked our elections" before a camera is important.
Mueller says he was bound by DOJ policy that they can't charge a sitting president, though his tone indicates that had that policy not been in place, well...
Says because of that policy they "would, WOULD" (aka not "could) charge Trump with obstruction....

and that then indicates, again, that this is in Congress' hands.
Says he won't speak more today that this statement and that the report speaks for itself. Doesn't seem eager to go before Congress.

otoh, fine, do what you want. But otoh one of the enduring problems with the Times is it refuses to see its own biases. And not having a public editor means they go unaddressed.

More recently, at least the packaging around the big stories on Barr's initial framing of the Mueller report repeated his spin. Again, unaddressed.
A vigorous airing of how stories—or again, often it's just/mostly the packaging— went south would be good for the paper, journalism, country.

But for whatever reason—partly arrogance—the Times has historically refused to engage in public (and even often private) post mortems.

100% disagree with @kdrum on his "this is performative" take. Stupid applications of single-use plastic should be rooted out everywhere.

And even if it is performative, performative measures demonstrate how easy it is to do, move on to the next use.

@kdrum Upshot: refillable soap/shampoo dispensers in hotels is better for environment, cheaper for hotels, easier for housekeeping. There's literally no reason NOT to do this.

Yesssss get rid of the mini shampoos and all the associated plastics in hotels. Big refillable dispensers for those who forget their own calmatters.org/articles/calif…
there are uses for plastic that make environmental sense and/or have no real options. But most consumer plastic—especially single use—must go.
