*REALISTIC* #MUFC Lineup 2019/20 Thread:

🧤 de Gea Out
©️ Pogba Captain
☄️ Rashford Main Striker

GK: Sergio Romero

In de Gea's absence, the Argentina No. 1 has always performed remarkably, keeping 32 clean sheets in 48 games for United. If the Spainiard shot stopped does go, Romero is more than capable of filling his gloves.
LB: Luke Shaw

Winner of the Man Utd Players' Player of the Year and the illustrious Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year last season, Shaw has silenced the critics and become one of the first names on the team sheet.
CB: Victor Lindelöf

Last season defined the Swede. We always knew he was a good ball-playing centre-back, but his physical improvement was demonstrated as he won 2.3 ariel dials per game in 18/19, compared to 1.3 in 17/18.
CB: Harry Maguire

de Ligt is the dream, but the Dutch protégé seems all but set on moving to Barcelona. With Maguire you get a Premier League proven defender who will bring much needed character and accountability to the United dressing room.
RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka

With the second-most tackles (129) and interceptions (84) in the Premier League, the young Englishman will not be cheap, but an investment of £50m will allow United to finally replace Gary Neville and secure their right-back slot for a decade.
CDM: Wilfred Ndidi

With the most tackles (143) and third-most interceptions (83), Ndidi has had another quality season for Leicester. For £30-40m, the Nigerian won't sell many shirts, but he will provide a solid defensive spine to finally free up Pogba.
LCM: Paul Pogba

In the mezzala role, Pogba will be unshackled. With the highest Premier League goal contributions for a midfielder (22) last season, the Frenchman will shine given the extra responsibility of captaincy that was only revoked due to his relationship with Mourinho.
RCM: Scott McTominay

The spirit that McTominay showed towards the end of last season has won him a place in the hearts of United fans which should be rewarded with Mata's #8 jersey. He will perfectly compliment Pogba in the box-to-box role and look to keep improving next season.
LW: Anthony Martial

With Sanchez and Lukaku jetting off to Serie A, Martial will look to reclaim his iconic #9 shirt and left-wing position. Although Solskjær has been frustrated with his low workrate, a revitalised Martial is something defenders need to fear next season.
ST: Marcus Rashford

At just 21, Rashford made 17 goal contributions in 33 games last season despite facing huge criticism. As a fanbase, we need to get behind our local hero and with the delivery of Ziyech, Rashford will challenge for the Golden Boot.
RW: Hakim Ziyech

Think of Bernardo Silva but with pace. With a £25m release clause, Ziyech was crucial in Ajax's run to the Champions League Semi-Final. The wide playmaker's incredible delivery will compliment Rashford and Martial impeccably should he adapt to English football.
SUB: Dean Henderson

One of the main reasons Sheffield United have been promoted. Henderson will be a fantastic understudy to Romero and may even challenge for a starting towards the end of the season.
SUB: Diego Dalot

Despite his mature Champions League performances, the versatile Portuguese is still just 20. The competition with Wan-Bissaka will be interesting, with Dalot preferred in games where the defence needs to be unlocked with width.
SUB: Axel Tuanzebe

His heroic performances with Villa have propelled them to Premier League status. Assured on the ball and physically dominant, at just 21 he is a huge step up from both Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.
SUB: Eric Bailly

With bundles of natural ability and a huge physical presence, this season will be huge for the Ivorian. A great lad in the dressing room, if Bailly can shake off injuries and remove errors from his game I can see him starting by the end of the season.
SUB: Fred

Although fans were sceptical at first, Fred's performances towards the end of the season showed glimpses of his potential. He is still getting used to the Premier League and I expect him to compete for the no. 8 position with McTominay throughout the season.
SUB: Andreas Pereira

Although a spectacular free kick against Southampton was the only real highlight of his season, Andreas has huge potential and can play as a deep-lying playmaker and mezzala. Given minutes, expect the Brazilian to hugely improve next season.
SUB: Jesse Lingard

Regardless of what you think of his dance moves, Lingard is a valuable character on and off the pitch. In big games his workrate can unlock defences and provide cover as a no. 10, false 9 or right-winger.
SUB: Moussa Dembele

With Lukaku out the door, Rashford needs genuine competition, and Dembele looks set to sign. The young Frenchman has Premier League experience and scored 23 goals in all comps to help Lyon to 3rd in Ligue 1.
FIRST TEAM PROSPECTS:
Daniel James
Sean Longstaff
Angel Gomes
Tahith Chong
Mason Greenwood
Callum Gribbin
SELL: David de Gea

With wage demands of £400,000+ p/w, de Gea appears to be set on a move elsewhere, with PSG a likely home. United's best player post-Fergie and IMO best-ever GK, it won't be nice to see him go. However, no player is bigger than Manchester United Football Club.
SELL: Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku has not been awful for United as many fans have portrayed him, however he has failed to hit the heights of his Everton days due to poor creativity. His heart looks set on a move to Inter. Best of luck, Rom.
SELL: Alexis Sanchez

Absolute flop and dangerous presence off the field. His extortionate wages led to huge demands from Herrera, de Gea and more. The sooner he's gone the better.
SELL: Ashley Young

Despite being in-and-out of the side for 8 years, Young has transitioned from an inconsistent winger to a solid defender and a leader. Unfortunately he is not a United player and the club must let him go to progress.
SELL: Juan Mata

Personally my favourite United player, but he was never really a right-winger and his ability is starting to fade. He appears to be on his way out on a free-transfer, and mid-table team will be lucky to have him. We will always remember Juanfield.
SELL: Chris Smalling and Phil Jones

Although Mike Smalldini has shown occasional flashes of being a decent defender, both have been too inconsistent and underperformed for years. Once heralded as United and England's CB duo for a decade, they've made out club a laughing stock.
SELL: Nemanja Matic

Despite having a good first season at United, he has never truly been the combative defensive midfielder that the club need. His high wages and poor performances mean a sabbatical in Serie A awaits.
