It's hard to make headway with someone as stubborn and isolated in his own lie-filled bubble as the president, but the fact that he finally admitted—if only for a moment—the Russians interfered in the 2016 election to help him get elected is a tiny bit of progress.
Unfortunately not only is @SenateMajLdr McConnell blocking bipartisan election security legislation, he still hasn’t scheduled the classified all-Senators briefing that I requested from defense, law enforcement, & intelligence leaders on securing U.S. elections.
President @realDonaldTrump, @SenateMajLdr McConnell, and Republicans in the Senate must act now to prevent interference by Russia or any other foreign adversary again in 2020.
