The Left Wing narrative:

• Russia attacked our election

• Russia's attack benefitted Trump.

• The Trump campaign had numerous interactions with Russia while this was happening.

• After these things happened, we investigated Russia, and its Trump connections.

• Trump and the people around him lied about their Russian contacts.

• Since this attack, Trump has done numerous things that help Russia, some even going against U.S. laws and policies.

The Right Wing narrative:
————————————
• The FBI colluded with Britain and Australia to create a fraudulent investigation into Trump's campaign connections with Russia.

• By an amazing coincidence Russia was attacking our elections at that time and trying to help elect Trump.

• Nevertheless, we should still be bestest friends with Russia, and anyone
who says otherwise is part of a left wing coup attempt.

• And who cares who lied about what, he's just trying to protect us form this deep state left wing coup attempt.

I guess the point here is that this is a really big, mess, complicated story, and when we get bogged down in details we open ourselves up to ridiculous whataboutism.

But if we take a step back we can boil things down to their simplest, and the right wing's hypocrisy is revealed.
