@ForeverLogical Good question, logical person. I'm away but will RT it to remind myself to ponder on this.
@ForeverLogical 1/ Ok, I tweeted that on my phone. Probably the 2nd time I did it in my life (I hate phones and never thumb type but I was looking for tornado information away from home). I think we are all realizing now that what we thought was obvious was only logical.
@ForeverLogical 2/ Let me explain what I mean:
A - an unqualified psychopath was elected POTUS by a combination of unlikely factors
B - that is an aberration and spoils the world order
===
D => there will be a strong reaction contrary to that
@ForeverLogical 3/ Simple: premise, premise, conclusion. But it didn't happen. Why? Because the premises were wrong. Logic is never wrong but when there are too many variables, we may have chosen the wrong ones for the inference.
@ForeverLogical 4/ It took a while to figure out the global phenomena. It wasn't intuitive at all. After all, who would have imagined that the former USSR would become the hub of the global far-right cabal? But it did.
@ForeverLogical 5/ Internationally, the countries that could, united, speak up and express a strong rejection of trump-and-his-trumpets are experiencing important internal conflict like England or Germany. Others have just fallen, like Poland, Hungary, Brazil and others.
@ForeverLogical 6/ Domestically, what I see is a bad combination of factors: progressives and people with a democratic leaning in general are increasingly divided. This was unexpected. We expected unity because as soon as the trump-nightmare sank in, there was a moment of unity.
@ForeverLogical 7/ Right now, the lower-level conflicts are blinding people to the top goal: exterminating the far right threat by winning the 2020 election, for which the impeachment process is critical, crucial and probably determinant.
@ForeverLogical 8/ Opposing the mantra #VoteBlueNoMatterWho by saying that "issues are more important" or "a platform is more important" is either incredibly illogical and naive (because it's obvious that "issues" are important: that's where bad or good policies materialize) or opportunistic.
@ForeverLogical 9/ Bottom line, I think your question doesn't have an answer but rather many hypotheses. Let's see what happens.
