How to write a breakup email:

~THREAD~
A breakup email is a key email in your follow up arsenal.

It's the last follow up that you'll send to the customer on that thread and it's the one where you try to get them to reply by thinking they're missing out.

AKA, breaking up with them.
In the next tweet I'll post an example of a breakup email and then I'll break it down.
Hi X,

We're breaking up. It's not you, it's me.

All jokes aside, if I don't hear back from you this time I won't be reaching out on this thread again as I'll assume you're not interested.

Let me know if you can handle more clients each month or book a meeting with me here.
Best,

Ryan
"We're breaking up. It's not you, it's me."

This grabs their attention as it throws them out of the normal loop that they're in.

Is it corny? Kinda. But you have to realize, most people are stuck on autopilot 24/7.

The value you provide here is entertainment.
"All jokes aside, if I don't hear back from you this time I won't be reaching out on this thread again as I'll assume you're not interested."

This is the part where you basically say reach back out to me or it's your loss.

Invoke the feeling of FOMO.
"Let me know if you can handle more clients each month or book a meeting with me here.

Best,
Ryan"

And finally, one last pitch before we end the email where we ask them if they can handle more business.

"here" is where I hyperlink my calendly booking software.
Notice how I say "I won't be reaching out on this thread again."

I do this because I'm definitely gonna reach back out to them again whether it's 1 month or 6 months down the line.

If you say you'll never reach out to them again and you do, your word means nothing.
