1. Jaime’s inspiring personal story. He remembers where & who he came from. Jaime lived the challenges facing vulnerable South Carolinians. He appreciates opportunities he’s received. He lives #ToWhomMuchIsGivenMuchIsRequired

2. Jaime is smart, determined & tenacious. He earned a scholarship to Yale after graduating from an under-resourced Orangeburg SC high school & he earned a law degree from Georgetown while working for @WhipClyburn

3. Jaime’s desire to serve. He could have gone anywhere w/Yale & Georgetown Law degrees but he chose public service: teaching 9th grade in SC, starting a non-profit to help kids get into college, working for @WhipClyburn & rising thru the ranks to become 1st AA Whip Floor Leader.

4. As SCDP Chair for 4 years (disclaimer-I was a VC) he developed good relationships with GOP party leaders & elected officials, even in aftermath of the Charleston massacre & confederate flag removal from SC Statehouse grounds. He even wrote #ClimbTheHill w/his Whip counterpart.

5. @harrisonjaime has VISION & PLANS-check out the #ClyburnFellows leadership program & the #SCDemsCare outreach efforts Jaime established while he was SCDP Chair. NOTE: These SCDP volunteer jobs didn’t include a stipend, in fact, it actually cost Jaime $ to serve as SCDP Chair.

6. I’ve been involved in SC Politics for 40+ years. For 18+ years I’ve known Jaime & watched him grow & climb & bring others up the ladder with him. Jaime is one of the most generous & caring SC politicians I know, while still being realistic & focused on how to get things done.
