Development of strong ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) is among the very best investments that India could make, with an expected return of ₹ 10 or more for every ₹1 invested..

Over 85% of cumulative brain development occurs prior to the age of six

#NEP

Prior to 3 years, ECCE (Early child care and Education) includes health and nutrition of both mother and child

Also includes cognitive & emotional stimulation through talking, playing, moving, listen to music & exposure to language, number, simple problem solving

From 3 to 6 years, ECCE includes self help skills, motor skills, cleanliness, moral development (knowing diff btw right and wrong), expressing thoughts to parents and others, sitting for longer period of time in order to work on and complete a task etc.

Children learn languages most quickly during the period of 0-3 years and during the foundational stage of 3-8 years. NEP aimed at instilling excellent multilingual skills in Children as early as possible

Responsibility of planning and implementation of ECCE curriculum in Anganwadi and pre school should lie with MHRD not with current setup where they come under purview of MWCD (Ministry of Women and Child Development)

The ability to read and write and to perform basic operations with numbers is a necessary foundation and indispensable prerequisite for all future school and lifelong learning

If students are given a solid foundation in reading, writing, speaking, counting, arithmetic, mathematical and logic thinking, problem solving, then all other future lifelong learning will become that much easier, faster and more enjoyable #NEP

Educated members of local community who are also passionate about teaching and aiding in crisis will help by holding remedial classes #NEP

Its important to make it teaser for volunteers both from local community and beyond to participate in largest scale mission of schooling system

If every literate member of community could commit to teaching one student/person how to read, it would change the country's landscape quickly

Both a nutritious breakfast (e.g. even just some milk and a banana) and a midday meal will be served to pre primary and primary school students

Food expenditure will be linked to food cost and inflation to ensure quality of food served

Dedicated maths and reading hours everyday (preferably between breakfast and lunch)

Regular activities that explore connection btw class room maths and real life maths #NEP

Every child in grade 1 to 5 will have workbook for language and maths other than textbook

National tutors program will be instituted across country to enable high quality peer tutoring among students

Curriculum structure for school education to be changed from 3 + 10 + 2 to 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 design

5 years foundational stage (Pre primary 3 years and Grade 1,2)
3 years preparatory (Grade 3,4,5)
3 years of Middle (Grade 6,7,8)
4 years of High school (Grade 9 to 12)

High school will follow 2 semester per year system..

All school subjects will be considered curricular rather than extra curricular including Yoga, sports, dance, music, drawing, painting, pottery making, gardening etc.

No hard separation of vocational and academic streams

Young children become literate in and learn best through their "local language" - language spoken at home

It is important that local languages including tribal languages are respected and excellent textbooks are developed in local languages..
