State governments controlled by watermelon Democrats (green on the outside, red on the inside) are busy imposing on the globally insignificant-sized populations of their states, environmentalist legislation designed to manipulate the climate of the earth.
Such legislation cannot possibly have any noticeable effect on the climate of the globe. But it can have a very noticeable and destructive effect on the economy of any state that enacts it, if for no other reason than the competitive disadvantage that state must suffer.
Just the higher cost and reduced availability of electricity must make goods produced in that state more expensive than in other states and must correspondingly discourage investment and cause unemployment in that state.
THUS, THIS WATERMELON LEGISLATION IS SIMULTANEOUSLY BOTH AN INSIGNIFICANT GESTURE AND AN ACT OF MAJOR DESTRUCTION. It is designed to prove the virtue of politicians even though their alleged virtue is gained at the expense of the suffering of their fellow citizens.
To prevent the enactment of such legislation, all 11 Republican state senators in Oregon have gone into hiding to prevent a quorum being present, thereby making a vote impossible. Oregon’s watermelon governor has dispatched the state police to find them and thus compel a quorum.
These state senators are fighting for the people of Oregon, and for us all. They deserve our support.
