Boris Johnson says it’s “a lefty delusion” that he took advice from Steve Bannon.....but here’s what Trump's former chief strategist says about their contacts around the time of his resignation as foreign secretary.

fascinating denial from Johnson camp, which claims:

- text exchanges last summer were only about “logistics” of trying to meet while Bannon in London. “The texts were along the lines of ‘can we meet up?’...Boris was unavailable.”

- they haven’t met or spoken or texted since
it seems that Bannon has a history of over-stating his influence, this is worth watching

there is an easy way to close down the Bannon-Boris story and that is for either side to publish the text exchanges, for now you’d be forgiven for not knowing who to believe
