Fox ethics stories over the last week:
1) Daily Beast reports Tucker was advising Trump on Iran.
2) Judge releases Hannity texts telling Manafort they are "on the same team."
3) WaPo reports Pirro told Trump that Stone was planning to quit, letting Trump save face by firing him.
We seem to have reached the point where its so obvious that Fox and Trump have merged and the network is state TV that these stories barely muster any attention, since we all know Fox doesn't care about media ethics and won't rein its people in.

The dumbest moment of last night’s debate was Chuck Todd demanding a "one-word answer" on our greatest geopolitical threat, hassling candidates who tried to expound, praising it as "the best part of a debate like this," then moving on with no followups. mediamatters.org/blog/2019/06/2…
Todd could have done an immense service by digging in deeper to these different answers, getting the candidates to explain why they picked the threats that they did. But... he just decided not to?
Notably four candidates said they viewed China as the nation's greatest geopolitical threat, a subject that received literally no attention from the moderators the remainder of the night. Maybe take the hint?

Debate winners and losers articles are fun because they present as impartial takes but are actually pure, unadulterated opinion with no real inputs other than the biases of the author and how they saw answers landing on Twitter.

"Who won and who lost" is only true in the moment if the author's personal taste happens to align the public. But it can be a self-fulfilling prophecy if enough journalists pick the same winners and losers, because most of the public finds out about the debates through reporting.

2) in the US if you consider there reporting of Trump, especially pre-election. Many of you describe Assad as a dictatorship and his government as a regime. If we look towards the Syrian Presidential election in 2014, Assad won 88.7% of the votes with a turnout of 73.42%.
3) This is a significant amount of voter turnout considering the last time the US had a higher percentage per capita was in 1896. This would suggest that as the war has progressed and the jihadist element became more evident, the people recognised Assad as a source of stability
