What’s key is that the unions’ stage 2 proposal - that in a general election Labour could campaign for a Brexit they’ve negotiated - has not been adopted by the party - at least not yet. That’s a fight for another day.

Labour antisemitism in the news again. Three main issues as I see it with the reporting on this.
#1 A lack of understand (or perhaps a wilful ignorance) around the difference between statistical & anecdotal evidence.
If you collect data about the attitudes or behaviour of a particular group (in this case Labour party members), you need to compare it with equivalent data on other groups (or maybe the same group at other times).

Half-baked thread 1/7: the dominant modes of social explanation these days are poorly suited to making sense of democracy. We think of human rationality economically: individualist, narrowly calculating, lacking any sense of the collective except as a means to self-interest.
2/7 And we think about collectivity and solidarity through evolutionary psych/behavioral models that emphasize "tribal" affinities--emotional bonds, sticking to your "own kind," etc. Even in humanist circles, people will nod sagely at, "Of course people are tribal animals."
3/7 It produces a dilemma: if we think of ourselves as rational, we split into self-interested monads, and if we think of ourselves as instinctual animals, we clump together in alarming, irrational, exclusionary ways.

All different races of Mankind are derived from Manu and Shradha. The current Manu is Vaivasvata Manu.
2/ The word Manu literary means man but it is a title given to the progenitor of mankind. According to Hindu Puranas there are many kalpas (One day of Lord Brahma the creator) and each Kalpa has 14 manvantara and each manvatara has one manu. So basically each Kalpa has 14 Manus.
3/ The current manu of the present manvantara is Shraddhadeva or Vaivasvata Manu of this current Kalpa. He is the son of Vivasvat (Probably Surya) and is therefore also known as Manu-vaivasvata.
