I feel like we got much more from this #DemDebate than I expected. I would have liked a more controlled stage and that the moderators paid better attention to how many questions they were giving candidates. Warren got no q's for 34 mins of the 1st hour, shut out of immigration.
What I had expected would happen did: some shone, some fell. It was a better opportunity than expected to get a sense of candidates and what they offer.
Most candidates gave a clear picture of who they are. For good or ill.

I appreciated Booker, Castro and Klobuchar raising #LGBTQ points.

I just wanted to remind everyone that less than a week ago a well-known writer accused the President of the United States of rape and not a single member of Congress has called for an investigation.

After the @AC360 interview with #EJeanCarroll, I went back and re-read Ivana Trump's account of Trump raping her.
The similarities with Carroll's experience are hard to miss.
Most rapists have a pattern.

Really good piece by @paulwaldman1 on @ejeancarroll's "credible accusation" of rape.
Waldman queries--rightly--how we have become so inured to Trump's history of sexual misconduct and assault. He says flat out that the president is likely a rapist and cites why.
Heavy stuff.

Waldman explains how what Carroll describes rings true compared to other accounts from other women.
And notes that she told two friends at the time.
One said, go to police, the other said, stay silent, he'll bury you.
We all know the second friend was right.

The question is, why aren't we doing something for Carroll and Trump's other victims? Why have we chosen--even those who are not Trump supporters--to ignore these allegations? Why wasn't Carroll's story front page? Why did the @my post pull it?

This first round of debating showed us something, but not enough. @ewarren was the obvious favorite, but she's still going to have a hard time making the black community believe. Which now sets the stage for @KamalaHarris. If Harris gives the world that Obama feeling, she'll win.

Many people are confused about the existence of "he/him lesbians" and it's understandable, especially if you're new to gender theory and being transgender/nonbinary. Here's a thread by a he/him lesbian to help you out.
First off a lot of you are confused as to WHAT a he/him lesbian is. It's pretty straightforward: we're lesbians who use he/him pronouns. "But men can't be lesbians!" you protest. And you're right! But he/him lesbians are not men.
So why do some lesbians use he/him if they're not men? We believe that pronouns don't inherently have genders.
