The Supreme Court's decision is an abomination. Five Republican-appointed justices gave the green light to partisan gerrymandering—which lets Republicans pursue their extreme agenda without accountability to the people. It's bad for our democracy and we need to fight back.
Mitch McConnell says efforts to stop gerrymandering are "socialist". Chief Justice Roberts pays lip service to the idea that gerrymandering is bad—but then hands the keys to our democracy over to a bunch of cheats. Republicans are trying to rig the game, and they're winning.
I'm done playing by a different set of rules. As president, I'll push to require states to use independent redistricting commissions to draw fair districts. And if Republicans keep standing in the way of fair elections, I'll push to end the filibuster. medium.com/@teamwarren/my…

Publicly traded companies have an obligation to share important information about their business. But right now they don't share much about how climate change might affect them, their customers, and their investors.
My Climate Risk Disclosure plan requires companies to publicly disclose both environmental & financial climate-related risks to their business. Investors are already divesting from fossil fuel companies, and this will push more investors to divest and transition to clean energy.

The gender pay gap hits women of color particularly hard. When future employers use salary history to make new offers, they trap women of color in lower wages. Black and Brown women are disproportionately mistreated at work. Their path to higher-level management jobs is rockier.
The government has helped perpetuate the systemic discrimination that has denied women of color equal opportunities, and it’s time to right those wrongs. I've got a plan to boost their wages, open up career advancement, and fight systemic discrimination.

Senior career officials at the State Department have been pushed out & others have resigned in protest. We've lost 60% of our career ambassadors & 20% of our most experienced civil servants. Too often they've been replaced with totally unqualified campaign donors & Trump cronies.

What are the chances that if partisan #gerrymandering were a Democratic technique, that had generated counter-majority Democratic political advantage, the Republicans on the Court would have rendered this decision?

If it really is too difficult for judges to sort out, as the Roberts Five aver, why was every lower court judge in every case quite readily able to sort it out? This looks to be another in the long chain of false facts the Roberts Five invents to justify 5-4 partisan decisions.
Add this to the list of 73 5-4 partisan decisions (through 2018) the Roberts Five have delivered for big Republican donor interests. #CapturedCourt

Republicans hijacked Wisconsin’s Supreme Court, rigged the legislature, and then, the moment Democrats won control of the executive branch, used the other two branches to kneecap the governor and AG. Other cases are still pending in court. But remember this moment.
The Trump era started in Wisconsin on November 2, 2010.
The hyper-partisan Wisconsin Supreme Court's ruling today upholding the GOP's lame-duck power grab is a reminder that in the 2020 elections, Democrats are fighting for democracy itself.

The #SupremeCourt gives too many indications of having been captured by the far right. In case after case, the five #Republican-appointed justices band together with no Democratic appointee, and over 90 percent of the time deliver huge wins for Republican and corporate interests
That pattern leaves Americans to wonder which of their rights, freedoms, and protections the Roberts Court may sign away next.
During his hearings, #Kavanaugh could have pledged to help buck that trend, and reassured those with pre-existing conditions, women, consumers, workers, vulnerable communities, or victims of pollution.
