So this piece posits that as a "devoted servant of the Democratic party," Biden will recover and people will be "offended at the audacity" of Harris.
My goodness, how many ways can you prop up white male patriarchal norms of mediocrity rising above female brilliance?

This piece really exemplifies all that is wrong with the white male pundit class. It reads like a scolding of Harris for daring to challenge Biden's actual record.
The piece mentions Biden's tragedies,which are certainly awful but not part of this story anymore than Harris's are.

As long as the MSM gives white men the kid glove treatment while holding women to a different and much higher standard, we are doomed to that glass ceiling and as RBG says, a foot on our necks.

There is little laudatory about Harris here. Her performance is dismissed as "not decisive." This is all about repairing Biden. And astonishingly presents Biden's crushing 2008 run for president as running as an outsider. HE HAD BEEN IN THE SENATE SINCE 1972!

THEN the piece says Biden performed like Obama (?!!) who was "roughed up by Romney," in 2012, but recovered. And says that Biden's "strong record on civil rights" is inviolable.
No mention of Anita Hill, though.

The piece also compares Harris to Swalwell as another candidate "trying to grab a headline by attacking Biden."
The piece refers to Swalwell's "impudence" in quoting Biden on passing the torch. Impudence.

This is how youth voters get the idea that elections are rigged for the establishment, btw.
This wasn't analysis. It was stenography. And in the end helps no one.
