“I want to say hello,” he added. “Let’s see what happens.”
“It will be very short but that’s OK. A handshake means a lot,” adds @POTUS in Seoul.

Turning to the pool reporters, @POTUS says this place used to be “very dangerous” but that it’s much less so since his first summit with Kim in Singapore.

“I say that for the press. They have no appreciation for what is being done, none”, insists @realDonaldTrump.
“After our first summit, all of the danger went away,” adds @POTUS. “It’s all working out, it always works out.”
And they meet at the DMZ.
And @POTUS crosses into the #DPRK.
“I feel great,” says @POTUS.
“This is my honor,” says @POTUS after Kim Jong Un congratulates him on being the first US president to visit the #DPRK.

Great shot by radio pooler @HorsleyScott of the exact moment @realDonaldTrump makes history stepping into North Korea 🇰🇵 with Kim Jong Un.
Some instant analysis from one of the few Americans who has extensive experience in the #DPRK:
One more full quote from @POTUS relayed by print pooler @jcartillier after @POTUS was asked if he would invite Kim to the US: “I would invite him right now ...to the White House.”
I’ve been in some chaotic media scrums over the decades around the world, but this one at the DMZ seems like one of historic proportion:
Kim and @POTUS still meeting inside Freedom House, according to radio pooler @HorsleyScott.
The meeting, which lasted ~45 minutes, now over. Kim has walked back into the #DPRK.
“How was North Korea?” @margarettalev asks @IvankaTrump.
“Surreal,” she replies.
From latest @jcartillier print pool report.
“We’re not looking for speed,” says @POTUS. “We’re looking to get it right.”

At Osan to speak to US military personnel, @POTUS brings on stage @IvankaTrump and @SecPompeo, introduces them as "beauty and the beast.”
"Nobody gives more bullshit over the internet than ISIS," @POTUS tells US military personnel.
"They want open borders and the hell with the military," says @POTUS of @TheDemocrats, speaking at Osan Air Base.
US #nuclear weapons are the most in the world and best in the world but we never want to have to use them, adds @POTUS.
The 35-minute speech by @POTUS at the US air base in the #ROK concludes with his political campaign theme song: 'You Can't Always Get What You Want.'
Just seeing this @reuterspictures @kevinlamarque_ shot capturing @POTUS stepping into the #DPRK as Kim Jong Un watches.
