As usual, @elonmusk has fixated on the hokey sci-fi aspects of a problem, and neglected the hard parts.
3\ Now that it's a mere tunnel (no skates or sleds), it will move at normal traffic speeds. If someone gets a flat, or runs out of gas, or drunkenly crashes, everyone behind them has to remain safe. Say good bye to 150mph, say hello to 35mph.

1\ A short primer for all the bulls taking about a $TSLA acquisition at "low prices" without understanding the concept of "enterprise value"...
2\ When you buy a house, you buy the entire thing, including any mortgage on it. If the house is $300K with a $200K mortgage, it doesn't matter to you that the owner has $100K of equity in the house. As the buyer, you pay $300K.

Buying a business is the same thing.
3\ $TSLA has $8B in net debt + $2B in negative working cap = $10B of non-equity liabilities. In 2020, that # will be $12B+. Let's ignore the $17B in purchase obligations for obsolete cylindrical cells from Pana, as well as billions in eventual fraud and AutoPilot death liability

1\ In no particular order, my notes from the $TSLA 10-Q:

$140M of deferred revenue from sale of regulatory credits. That amount doesn't affect revs this period. To be recognized over 2-3yrs. Presumably this was FCA. Unclear how much was recognized in Q1 (more on this later)
2\ $TSLA is writing off $47M of SolarCity In Process R&D and abandoning further development!

Can we finally admit that @elonmusk acquired SolarCity in order to quietly wind it down?
3\ $TSLA used to say they were in "compliance" with their financial covenants. Now they are in "material" compliance.

So which covenants are they in immaterial violation of?

Random unsolicited endorsement: getethos.com was willing to write a $1 million term life insurance policy at a reasonable rate without requiring a medical exam or more than about 12 minutes of attention (over 3 days).
There are many technologists of my acquaintance who do currently, or will in the future, have people or causes who would be materially harmed if their future earning power went away, and who are underinsured against this.

I suggest fixing if this applies to you.
I meet a lot of geeks. At least one of them is no longer with us, and that became a pass-the-hat situation at a very, very trying time for their family.

Term life insurance is, possibly, the crowning achievement of the financial industry. It's cheap, efficient, and lifechanging.

Ooh! I know this one! See before the target audience for that tweet was born, those big evil meanies from The Left told everyone it's OK for white women to marry black and brown men, and we shouldn't murder those men. So now nothing can stop that and since white+Other=Other OH NO
Over a long enough period, ALL the white women will marry OUTSIDERS (because they're all so hot!) and there won't be any left to have white men's white babies and there won't be anyone left who thinks they should be in charge of everything because they look like they're sick and
get really bad sunburns! See, the fact that they can't really spend any time outside without a ton of sunblock proves they're meant to be in charge, behind a desk somewhere, out of harm's way!

None of this was ever intended to be released as is. it's not mixed, I was supposed to redo the vocals. These were demo tracks to work from. I never finished them. I recognized today that they are perfect just as they are, and God wanted me to let them go. So I am letting them go
I release all things within me that no longer serve truth, love, life, or God in this place. I empty myself to be ready and available to receive the Love God wants to give me. I am not worthy of this love, but I receive it with abundant joy and gratitude anyway. Praise God.

What is it?

Freestyle Love Supreme is an improv hip-hop comedy troupe started by Lin, Anthony Veneziale and Tommy Kail. It has had a long life playing clubs and comedy festivals all around the world and spawned a TV show in 2014.
How do I find it? The TV series is available for streaming if you have a Seeso subscription and can be purchased from iTunes/Amazon if you have US accounts.

1/ I consider myself to be relatively knowledgeable when it comes to personal finance...I’ve invested a lot of time educating myself over the years. The ~10 focuses & my beliefs will always change which is why it’s such an interesting topic. It also may be the most important.
2/ I’m going to share short and concise opinions each day and see how long I can go on for. Note that personal finance is highly.. personal. Not everything is advisable and applicable to everyone.
3/ Keep your personal burn low. Budgeting is important (and it’s actually easy). @PersonalCapital is the new @mint. Open an account and use their free service. Tracking income and spend is the first step to developing a budget and lowering expenses.
