Got to the Baby Trump balloon. Robert Kennedy of central NJ is one of its “babysitters.” Says they’ve had only one unpleasant incident so far with a guy who wanted to “free speech his way into the balloon.” Park police helped him on his way.

Don Lessem, a dinosaur expert from Philadelphia, told me about his statue of Trump tweeting on a golden toilet, which he’s getting ready to set up. “Great art just speaks to you,” Lessem says about the 16-foot-high statue.

Volunteers are giving out 1,200 free little baby Trump balloons. They’re finding a lot of takers right now

I got as close as I could to the Lincoln Memorial. Still a lot of space on the lawn on either side of the Reflecting Pool.

Heard a couple people asking a Park Service employee where they could see the tanks. You can’t get anywhere near them without a ticket!

This float is playing “God Bless the USA” and people are going nuts

Met a lady who got these from someone handing them out at the parade. She was unaware of the Q theory but thinks JFK Jr might be a republican, maybe even Trump’s Running mate, if he were alive today

I came back to the Washingtonian office to charge my phone and cool off. Back on the Mall soon!

As I came through security the screeners took a guy’s flagpole. (He got to keep his flag.) WHATEVER HAPPENED TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH he shouted at them.

Lafayette Square is a center of American insanity right now. One guy shouting “Anus! Penis! Putin!” MAGA people shouting “USA!”

Aaaaand someone just burned a flag and a scuffle broke out

These are the guys who grabbed the flag, Jerome Duprey of Orlando and Greg Aselbekian of DC

Cops have cleared Penn Avenue and now everyone’s standing around chanting various stuff

There was a scuffle.

And now like half the park is chanting USA and the other half is live-streaming

So this is Jessica who was briefly arrested after that scuffle with the Proud Boys—would not tell me where from. Now unarrested. Cops cleared park and now everyone’s walking to Lear’s H Street and yelling at one another

So this fellow got in a cage that was part of a protest about the border and humped the doll inside it

This is already a lot bigger than the Unite the Right 2 rally, and it’s pretty small!

Also I saw a guy in a Laura Loomer shirt but sadly could not catch up with him
