Wrinkle: Judge Furman responds to The Justice Dept. abandoning the citizenship question.

In essence, that's well and good, but you have a briefing due today on some unfinished business: a motion to alter the judgment on equal protection claims.
The NYAG responds, in essence: Judge Furman, we could all use an extension until Tuesday, July 16.
Clarification: Equal-protection claims were back in play in the Maryland case.

In the SDNY case, the evidence that the citizenship question was designed to benefit ‘Republicans and Non-Hispanic Whites' has not yet revived 5th Amendment claim, but sparked possible sanctions.
Furman's referring to the motion to amend the judgment as permanently barring the citizenship question, which Trump dropped yesterday, from the 2020 Census.

More details soon.
Closing the loop on this:

Judge Furman grants the extension of time until July 16.
Furman in his scheduling order giving the parties until July 16 to reveal next steps in the residual motions to wrap up the census litigation:

"No further extensions of those deadlines are likely to be granted, however."
