Well now. On Wednesday #wpukfairplay I touched upon a Swedish study that will provide excellent data on how muscle strength, mass and fibre composition changes with transition in transwomen.

I also suggested that whether such data was used to inform public policy or not may depend on the nature of the results.

. @fairplaywomen have published a transcript of my talk and today, I sent over my bibliography (to be hyperlinked in). Here is the reference to the Swedish trial proposal.

The name of the lead author struck me as odd (for an English speaker), what with a double ii and all.

And I’ve just seen a double ii tonight (courtesy of @mar_vickers). And an awful lot of other familiar names....

I chatted with @mar_vickers the other night, where I asserted that this poster data has not been peer-reviewed, a point that still stands.

However, I did not realise that this poster is prelim data from a well-designed study I was looking forward to seeing an outcome from.

I am very grateful for @mar_vickers for posting the screenshot again, and very grateful for that double ii.

We need eyes on this study. Their data will be invaluable.

And not about to overthrow what we already know re: transwomen physiology.
