Since the moment he came down his schlocky golden escalator in June 2015, Donald Trump has spent more time criticizing America than *any human being* with a public pulpit in America—by far. That's inarguable—and should be the starting point for any conversation about "the Squad."
Trump said America wasn't great anymore—said our military was depleted. Said we had a history of making bad deals—said the world was laughing at us. His fans say his words were born of patriotism—yet critiques by black/brown women aren't. *That's* where his supporters' racism is.
If you're a Trump supporter and you're fine with Trump *every single day* telling us and the world how crappy America is in every way he wants to fix it, you damn well better explain to the rest of us why people who have *different* things about America they want to fix are bad.
By Trump's logic, America's response to his 2016 campaign announcement speech in June 2015 should've been, "LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT, A**HOLE!" Because *that* speech spent almost its *entire* running time explaining to US voters and the world what a *joke* Trump thought America was.
