It's been a lazy day. But I may have made sense, at least to me, of our current political climate. It was foreshadowed close to 40 years ago...

My Bodyguard. A thread...

It's like we're all Martin Mull's kid being sent to a new school.
But despite our being raised to follow the rules and get along, the school is run by a group of disenfranchised bullies whose only goal is to take our freedom, our money, and to push us around
When we try to fight back within the rules they only get more threatening. Their tactics becoming increasingly direct and bazaar.
But then it becomes clear that there is one kid in school who the bullies are as afraid of as we are. Ricky Lindemann
We don't really understand, or frankly like, Ricky. All we really care about is that he's willing to stand up to our bullies.
And it works! Except Ricky is haunted by, and must continually fight, the mistakes of his past.
We get scared because while we've grown to respect Ricky and think below the facade he has a genuinely good heart, we know his past makes him, and therefore us, vulnerable
But the more we understand him, the more we are encouraged by his strength and his heart. Sure, his past is an absolute mess, but he stood up for us when no one else would.
Through his example many of us have gained the unified strength to stand by him, and against our bullies.

So, to the bullies who want to steal our money and push us around..
My Bodyguard, Featuring: Us, the law abiding, tax paying, country loving, majority
With: The Squad, the media, the RINOs, all of them
With Special Guest Star: Donald Trump as Ricky Lindemann
