On the contrary, I think this is going to be our finest hour. The media can barely see five minutes ahead. and I'm losing interest in them now.

There are two things Boris Johnson has to do this autumn which are nothing to do with Brexit, and he's going to be able to do neither.

He has to pass a new Queen's speech. And he has to pass a budget.

And it is finally those two basic functions that are going to kill off his government.

He's not going to get a Queen's speech through. He'll be down to a majority of three by autumn.
And the problem with that is, there is no policy that can unite his party and the DUP. None.

As soon as Boris Johnson defines his Brexit policy, he splits his party.
But time ticks on, and he will have to present a budget. A majority of three is not going to get a budget through parliament.

Theresa May had the luxury of just sitting there for the last six months with a zombie government.
But Boris Johnson can't do that. He has to present a Queen's speech and a budget, and if he can't do either of those things, he's got no government.

This parliament is going to be over within the next three months, and we get a general election. Not because the Tories want it, but because we've reached a point where they can't perform the basic functions of government.

It's what I said two years ago. As soon as Theresa May resigns, Brexit will shrivel and die. And that's exactly what's going to happen.

This parliament is at a dead end, there's going to be an election, and there will be someone to vote for to stop this interminable horror
