Earlier this year, Mark Meadows thanked his friend Elijah Cummings for defending him against accusations of racism. President Trump spent the weekend attacking Cummings — and slagging him as a racist — and Meadows is nowhere to be found. bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…
“Mr. Chairman, you and I have a personal relationship that’s not based on color,” Meadows noted.

“If there’s anyone who’s sensitive with regard to race it’s me, the son of former sharecroppers,” Cummings said. “You're one of my best friends, I know that shocks a lot of people."
