Some updated renders of the LOVE PARK plan for York & Queens Quay. Designed by Claude Cormier, famous for the dog fountain park. waterfrontoronto.ca/nbe/wcm/connec… (PDF)
Things to do in Love Park: “tinder/grindr/pokemon-go meet-up.”
Several nicely-designed parks have been sullied by the mandatory presence of Toronto’s ugly plastic garbage bins. Cormier’s design floats the idea of literally camouflaging them.
Because the dog sculptures were a big hit, this plan also proposes several Canadian animal sculptures scattered throughout Love Park. An owl, a deer, a woodpecker, a RAPTOR.
