Disclaimer: This isn't another Josh Harris thread.

But I've seen some claim that true Christians never reject their faith or deny Christ. Friends, it's time to revisit Jonah, Peter, David, and Old Testament Israel. True, genuine, elect Christians are capable of terrible evil.
We wander like sheep, betray as prodigals, and flee like Jonah. We are not faithful. But God is. If a person's faith was ever real - if God has chosen them - Hell itself cannot loose His grasp. They may stray to the darkest pit of the deepest sea, yet Jesus will bring them home.
While denouncing Christ is a fearful sin, our God is bigger than lost hope and foolish hearts. Our Savior is stronger than Josh Harris. Our Rescuer wiser than our wandering loved one. Don't be discouraged by the weakness of men. Pray for the glory of God to shine through them.

Here's the thing.

I tried really hard.

I wore high collar shirts.

I wore long jeans.

I made myself as plain, unexceptional, and as modest as I could.

My dad still sexually abused me.

I am done letting people blame their lust on me. Because nothing I do can help you.
My body is not your disease.

How God designed me doesn't make you sin.

I am not an open bar tab you can keep charging dirty thoughts to without repercussions.

God sees how you're thinking about his daughter. Act like a grown man and take responsibility for yourself.
If Twitter causes you to sin, delete your account.

If you can't look at attractive women without sinning, repent, pray, and get help.

Me wearing a one-piece to the beach won't save you. It won't stop your heart hemorrhaging sin. Only Jesus Christ can do that. Not my wardrobe.

In the Christian world, I've most often experienced sexism as:
- You can't have a job/career
- You can't go to college or study theology
- You can't talk or write about the Bible
- Your home must look like Joanna Gaines'
- You must cook from scratch using niche dietary rules
- You must homeschool
- You must dress like Ree Drummond
- Obey your husband without question
- Submit to all men

I heard a women's Bible study teacher say, "If your husband orders you to watch p0rn with him, you're allowed to quietly and respectfully walk out of the room."
If you don't do all these things, they'll claim you're a failure as a wife / mom and may question the authenticity of your salvation.

A pastor once told Jason, "Until Jenn can get the house clean and have dinner ready by 5PM every day, you shouldn't let her have more children."

One reason we have denominations - SBC, PCA, UMC, etc - is so you can find a church most closely adhering to your understanding of Scripture. Joining a church you disagree with on a major doctrinal issue and expecting them to change is goofy. #ChurchToo #MeToo

Since the @HoustonChron published their distrubing article documenting abuse in the #SBC, I've seen quite a number of people trying to say that "If the SBC had women pastors this would not happen." As a survivor (#MeToo #ChurchToo) I find this extremely insulting. Here's why:
1. Taking advantage of a tragedy in order to push a social or political agenda is tacky. You want female pastors? That's fine. But you chould join a church that ordains women. However, when you join that church, don't be shocked when you find abuse there too. It's everywhere.
