JUST IN: Following months of unprecedented chill on the Line Of Control (LoC), things are now heating up. Earlier in the day, @OfficialDGISPR accused India of using 'cluster bombs' - an allegation denied by Indian Army as 'deceit' and 'deception'.

Indian Army: Pak army regularly attempts to push terrorists through infiltrations and opens up with multitude of weapons to assist them. India has maintained the right to respond. Such responses are only against military targets & infiltrating terrorists aided by Pak army.

On the other side of the LoC, the local govt ordered the defense committees to issue active and free arms licenses to the defense committees within five kilometers of LoC. 👇👇

India has reported "no of attempts during last 36hrs to disturb peace in valley and the yatra". Details in the next post.

A 'Border Action Team' from Pakistani side attempted an intrusion which was foiled by troops says India. Army's claim is that '5 to 7 pak regulars/terrorists' were killed. This was in the KERAN sector.

Photos the Indian Army says have been taken in last 24-36 hours of '5-7 terrorists/ Pak SSG personnel probably killed.' It seems the operations are still underway and "are being continuously interfered by Pak troops deployed in the area" as per the Indian side.

What: Indian Army says, 'Pak initiated unprovoked cease fire violation by firing of Small Arms and shelling with Mortars along LoC. Indian Army is retaliating befittingly.'

Pak Army Today: Indian Army on night 30th / 31ist July targeted innocent citizens including women and children in Neelum Valley through Artillery using cluster ammunition.
This it says caused 2 deaths and 11 injuries - all civilians.
India calls this 'lie, deceit and deception'.

India Army observed, "during the past week there has been spurt in activities of infiltration and BAT attempts along with frequent CFVs to disrupt peace along the LC and hinterland in J&K....(army) responded in a calibrated manner to target terrorists and Pak Army’s complicity".

"Pakistan instead of taking irreversible and credible actions against terror activities emanating from its soil is deliberately resorting to malicious campaign of use of cluster ammunition by Indian Army." Ends.

Indian Army today said it has seen a "spurt" in infiltration & BAT attempts along with frequent CFVs to "disrupt peace along the LC and hinterland in J&K". But y'day 15 Corps commander described the scene at LoC as 'under control and very much peaceful'.

JUST IN: Pakistan's @ForeignOfficePk releases a late evening statement on the subject. Statement shared by @faranrafi states the following..

A. Serious concern expressed over "deteriorating situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir"
B. Speculation has mounted that Indian authorities might attempt to alter demographic structure to bring about material change

C. Accuses Indian Army of increased CFVs across LoC. Between July 19-Aug 3, 6 civs died, 48 injured and civilian infra suffered damage.
D. Rejected India's assertions of intel inputs about an imminent terrorist attack.
E. Briefed heads of missions & UNSC P5 envoys in Islamabad.

India offers Pakistan an opportunity to retrieve the bodies lying in the open. "Approach with a white flag and take back the bodies for last rites". No response yet.

JUST IN: Pakistan holds its hold National Security Committee meeting chaired by @ImranKhanPTI. Interestingly, it "strongly condemned Indian strategy when Pakistan and international community are focused on resolving Afghan conflict".

Meanwhile on the LoC, hardly any fresh firing reported. Bodies that India asked Pakistan to take are reportedly still on ground claimed by none.
