Worth noting that I can’t think of one recent mass shooting where the gun was bought legally through a private sale.
That’s exactly what I was talking about in this thread. I’m happy to debate the background check rules related to private transfers, but don’t pretend that it is relevant to these mass shootings.
We now have confirmation that a change in how private sales are managed would not have impacted either the El Paso or Dayton shootings. Both shooters purchased the guns legally and were required to go through background checks.
