The Labour Party hides behind lies and disinformation when it pretends only a tiny fraction of the membership holds toxic antisemitic views. The truth is far darker. THREAD

Importantly - this is not about a few extremists who joined the party in 2015 or 2016. Through its own actions and explicit messaging from key Corbyn allies - the party turned its own support base into an incubator for antisemites.

They explicitly pushed the claim that the allegations of antisemitism were a 'smear campaign' to protect Israel - demonising Jews and turning them into subversive elements within the UK.

They devised strategies to counter British Jews - replicating the very environment that has toxified campus. Corbyn's anti-Zionist allies have long used fringe Jewish groups to protect themselves - and they imported this strategy into the Labour Party apparatus.

Corbyn support networks ethnically cleansed their environment of the mainstream Jewish voice - becoming toxic echo chambers were 'Zionism' was demonised. These groups became so obsessive - at times it seemed as if they were talking about nothing else.

Mainstream media was shunned as being 'Zionist' & this virtual bubble was reduced to feeding off scraps from outlets such as the canary, RT Today, Press TV or worse still, toxic white supremacist conspiracy websites from the US. All this material was shared with other supporters.

It must be understood these people are not there to cause Corbyn a problem - they are there to protect him. Extremists didn't 'invade' in 2015 - they came to support their leader. They are Corbyn's allies and he has been mixing with these support bases for decades.

Inside this bubble, regular Labour supporters became exposed to extremist antisemitic views. Instead of the party acting to cleanse the environment, the party deflected and obfuscated. People who had never posted about Israel, Zionism or Jews suddenly became obsessed.

CLP's became outlets to spread support for the witchhunt accusations. JVL messaging was spread within. These members believe they are protecting the party because they heard key Corbyn allies call it all a smear. Had they heard differently - none of this would have happened.

If the Labour Party created this environment - then it is responsible for what happens within - to members & non-members alike. Deflective arguments that claim a Corbyn supporting radical antisemite isn't a member - don't work - when you realise party mechanisms did this to him.

It is heartbreaking to see people who Jews would have considered friends - move from 'love Israel' to 'Rothschild Conspiracy' within this network. But it happened and is still going on.
