I knew this report from @IPCC_CH was coming, but missed it's release.

Climate change doesn't just change precipitation and impact affect crop productivity:

It changes the whole biochemistry of plant cells, and drives down nutrition.

Climate change doesn't just make corals bleach,
it dissolves their calcium carbonate skeleton, preventing them from growing as sea levels rise, and increasing susceptibility to damage from increasingly frequent hurricanes...

and that makes coastal areas more at risk from damage.

It does the same thing to shellfish, too - though molluscs have a higher concentration of lower-solubility calcite than corals, which are primarily aragonite (r), and may have coatings that protect from ocean waters...
And this doesn't just apply in marine waters.

Same thing in freshwater.

Same thing with massive limestone deposits and cliffs that were originally formed by corals or other biodeposition.
